Civil Engineer - Land Development

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer civil systems for projects of average complexity and size
• Develop designs using sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and three-dimensional models
• Prepare and revise documentation including site plans, floor plans, and construction details
• Lead project coordination meetings with internal teams, external consultants, owners, and contractors
• Perform and oversee technical calculations using standard and proprietary software
• Conduct quality assurance and quality control on assigned projects
• Assist senior engineers with project scope, budget, staffing, and scheduling
• Participate in client requirement meetings, value analysis, and cost estimating

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an equivalent field
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or the ability to obtain licensure within 6 months
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D and relevant design software (e.g., GIS, HEC-RAS, StormCAD, or WaterCAD)
• Strong understanding of civil engineering concepts, materials, and industry standards
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with HEC-HMS, HydroCAD, or similar hydraulic modeling software
• Strong presentation and interview skills
