About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support field construction oversight to ensure work meets project requirements and quality standards
  • Coordinate with contractors, inspectors, and stakeholders to resolve field issues
  • Monitor and document civil construction activities including earthwork, grading, and utility installations
  • Oversee catenary pole foundation and cable trough installation
  • Review construction work for compliance with plans, specifications, and safety requirements
  • Track construction progress and provide field reporting and documentation
  • Coordinate material deliveries, staging, and field logistics
  • Support construction engineering, inspection, and quality assurance activities
  • Assist with identifying and resolving construction risks and issues
  • Support project closeout, punch list development, and documentation turnover

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field
  • 2-5 years of experience in construction, engineering, or field inspection on infrastructure projects
  • Experience with civil infrastructure, transportation, utility, or rail projects
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and construction schedules
  • Proficiency with construction documentation software and Microsoft Office 365
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites
  • Ability to work full-time in a field-based construction environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
  • Experience with rail, transit, or railroad infrastructure
  • Experience with catenary systems or track-related infrastructure
  • Proficiency with Bluebeam, Procore, Primavera P6, or Autodesk Construction Cloud
