Civil Engineer, Design

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, conduct, coordinate, and direct detailed projects of moderate scope or parts of major projects
• Apply sound judgment and broad knowledge of standards in Civil, Structural, and Line Engineering
• Manage complex engineering features including conflicting design requirements and difficult coordination
• Perform design or storm damage-related inspections as needed
• Integrate knowledge of Electrical Engineering aspects within Transmission Line Engineering

Requirements

• BS or MS degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
• Demonstrated experience with electronic spreadsheets and standard structural engineering software
• Proficiency in line engineering software and computer-aided drafting software
• Ability to be medically qualified and willing to work in the field and climb structures

Preferred Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
• Membership in professional or technical societies
• Experience publishing engineering papers or articles in professional journals
