Civil Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, reports, and permit applications
• Serve as the Engineer of Record on projects for diverse clients
• Manage engineering design, client interactions, and team coordination
• Focus on solid waste management projects including landfill gas, landfills, infrastructure, and composting
• Undertake fieldwork including surveys and inspections
• Perform office-based tasks such as CAD drafting and report writing
• Engage in business development, proposal preparation, and client meetings

Requirements

• Florida P.E. registration (preferably civil) or eligibility for reciprocity within 6 months
• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Geotechnical Engineering
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in the solid waste industry
• Experience in landfill gas management, air compliance, and landfill design/permitting
• Proficiency in MS Office and environmental consulting software
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D
