Civil Construction Foreman

Responsibilities

• Lead and instruct the project team daily regarding work tasks and planning
• Manage and supervise specialists, including carpenters, groundworkers, and machine operators, as well as subcontractors
• Collaborate with the head foreman, work preparers, and technical managers to assess design feasibility
• Monitor project progress, manage costs, and implement smart working methods or solutions when changes occur
• Coordinate the timely delivery of equipment and materials to the construction site
• Maintain a positive and safe working atmosphere on-site, celebrating both small and large successes

Requirements

• MBO or HBO level education, preferably in civil engineering
• Several years of experience as a foreman in civil infrastructure
• Proven experience with civil structures such as bridges, viaducts, underpasses, or other complex concrete works
• Strong ability to communicate and switch easily between various stakeholders, from specialists to project leaders
• Proactive attitude with the ability to maintain overview and calm under pressure
