Civil CAD Designer Drafter - Transportation

Responsibilities

• Utilize MicroStation to prepare engineering drawings, including basic arrangements, layouts, cut sheets, and details
• Ensure all drawings comply with GDOT EDG, PPG, and other established drafting standards
• Compile data and perform dimensional and routine calculations required for drawing preparation
• Develop roadway and highway design plans, including horizontal/vertical alignments, drainage, and pavement marking
• Read and interpret orthographic (2D) and isometric (3D) designs and construction drawings for road, highway, and bridge projects
• Assist in the preparation of design submittals for clients such as GDOT

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of relevant experience with civil and road/highway design projects
• Proficiency in MicroStation and general PC literacy
• Ability to work onsite at the Sandy Springs/Atlanta, GA office

Preferred Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree or certificate from an accredited designer/drafter course
• Working knowledge of Bentley ProjectWise
• Knowledge of Georgia DOT Plan Presentation Guidelines and Electronic Data Guidelines
