Civil Bridge Inspector

Responsibilities

• Perform and coordinate inspections of bridges and related structures
• Interpret project plans and specifications
• Ensure construction activities comply with applicable standards
• Document construction progress in accordance with project and regulatory requirements
• Work closely with construction managers, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure safety and compliance

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum of five years of experience in bridge, structural, or construction inspection for transportation structures
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving history
• Ability to lift and carry 50lbs
• Ability to work in various terrain and weather conditions
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including occasional extended hours

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of ODOT/OTA standards, NBIS requirements, and bridge inspection procedures
• Experience with bridge components such as decks, substructures, superstructures, and rehabilitation work
• OSHA 10/30 certification
• NBIS certification
