About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide civil and structural engineering technical support and expertise for Upstream and Downstream projects worldwide.
- Support projects through all development phases, from conceptual studies to final design and execution.
- Develop technical specifications, scopes of work, and assist in contractor selection and quality control.
- Maintain a culture of safety and ensure compliance with established safety management systems.
- Interface effectively with manufacturing sites, regulatory agencies, and industry organizations.
- Mentor and train junior team members to enhance departmental competency.
Requirements
- Master's or post-graduate degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with a GPA of 7.0 or above.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the oil & gas or petrochemical domain.
- Proven experience in the design of onshore petrochemical structures, including steel and concrete structures.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as Staad.Pro.
- Hands-on experience developing design calculation sheets for reinforced concrete and steel structures using applicable codes.
- Strong technical, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in structural inspection, rehabilitation, and upgrading.
- Knowledge of blast-resistant design and earthquake analysis.
- Expertise in foundations and pilings for equipment, structures, and tanks.
- Experience with dynamic analysis of rotating equipment foundations.
- Geotechnical experience in interpreting data for foundation requirements.
- Experience working as an embedded civil structural engineer within a refinery or petrochemical complex.
