About the role

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage full-time staff and student employees, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
  • Perform information services desk duties such as maintaining user accounts, checking materials in/out, and providing campus information
  • Oversee circulation, scheduling, and hourly budget oversight
  • Manage the opening and closing of library buildings or service points
  • Monitor service points to ensure library policies are communicated and enforced
  • Collaborate with Library Facilities and Public Safety to report security or maintenance incidents
  • Troubleshoot basic printer, computer, and copier issues

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • 1+ years of experience in customer service work
  • Supervisory experience, including directing, training, and evaluating full-time employees
  • Willingness and ability to work a non-traditional schedule, including evenings and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of an integrated library system
  • Experience working a non-traditional schedule including evenings and weekends
  • An interest in supporting staff success and professional development
