CI Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead process improvement initiatives to increase productivity, reduce waste, and improve quality across metal fabrication and assembly operations.
• Partner with Operations, Quality, Design Engineering, and Supply Chain to support new product introductions and engineering changes.
• Develop and maintain work instructions, routings, process documentation, and SOPs.
• Analyze manufacturing data and KPIs to identify trends and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Support equipment selection, tooling design, line layout, and cell optimization using Lean principles.
• Conduct time studies, capacity analysis, and labor utilization assessments to optimize throughput.
• Complete PFMEAs and apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles to reduce production costs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment (ideally sheet metal or HVAC).
• Hands-on experience with DFM, PFMEA development, and time studies.
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Experience working with ERP/MRP systems for BOMs, routings, and engineering change management.
• Strong problem-solving skills using Lean, Kaizen, or Six Sigma methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume or fast-paced manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with automation, CNC equipment, robotics, or advanced manufacturing technologies.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and manufacturing quality system documentation.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) capability.
