About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide analytic support to Bureau Units and respond to data requests
  • Assist in the design of research and evaluation activities
  • Perform surveillance, data management, and analysis
  • Prepare summary tables, figures, and maps related to chronic disease
  • Document analytic processes including codebooks and SAS programs
  • Synthesize and summarize peer-reviewed literature
  • Draft reports, presentations, and peer-reviewed articles

Requirements

  • Master's degree in physical, biological, environmental science, or public health
  • Experience in quantitative analytical methods
  • Proficiency with statistical software such as SAS or SQL
  • Experience with data visualization and communication
  • Ability to manage quantitative datasets
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with qualitative research methods
  • Familiarity with peer-reviewed literature on chronic disease prevention and health equity
  • Experience addressing racial disparities in health outcomes
