About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide analytic support to Bureau Units and respond to data requests
- Assist in the design of research and evaluation activities
- Perform surveillance, data management, and analysis
- Prepare summary tables, figures, and maps related to chronic disease
- Document analytic processes including codebooks and SAS programs
- Synthesize and summarize peer-reviewed literature
- Draft reports, presentations, and peer-reviewed articles
Requirements
- Master's degree in physical, biological, environmental science, or public health
- Experience in quantitative analytical methods
- Proficiency with statistical software such as SAS or SQL
- Experience with data visualization and communication
- Ability to manage quantitative datasets
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with qualitative research methods
- Familiarity with peer-reviewed literature on chronic disease prevention and health equity
- Experience addressing racial disparities in health outcomes
