Christian Counselor

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling sessions for individuals, couples, families, and groups
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all sessions
• Adhere to professional codes of ethics and best practices
• Return client calls within 24 hours and manage scheduling promptly
• Collaborate with other providers such as therapists and doctors for client care
• Attend individual/group supervision and annual mandatory meetings
• Pursue ongoing training to enhance application of the Gospel-Centered Integrative Framework for Therapy (GIFT)

Requirements

• NYS license, equivalent clinical hours, or a limited permit
• Master's degree in counseling or a related field
• At least two years of clinical experience
• Strong capacity and desire to integrate theology and psychology
• Theological alliance and compliance with Redeemer Presbyterian Church
• Active participating member of a Christian church
• Ability to work 10 to 25 clinical hours per week
