Chipset Power Systems - Senior Engineer

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop chipset-level power use case modeling tools and methodologies
• Collaborate with power HW, SW, and System teams to define and collect power use case characteristics
• Analyze hardware architecture and design to understand how power use cases map to individual HW blocks
• Translate power estimate requests into detailed tasks for end-to-end power modeling
• Analyze modeling output, summarize results, and propose effective improvement solutions
• Enable cross-functional teams to leverage tools and methodologies for in-depth power analysis

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 2+ years of experience
• OR Master's degree in a related field with 1+ years of experience
• OR PhD in a related field
• Experience in power use case modeling
• Solid foundation in Electrical Engineering with proficiency in detailed spreadsheet and custom tool analysis
• Knowledge of SoC hardware blocks (e.g., Interconnects, Display, Graphics, etc.)
• Experience with application processors, modem communication systems, or mobile technologies (WAN, CPU, camera, graphics)

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or Computer Science
• Experience in the commercialization of System-level power features
