Chipset Power Engineer, Senior Staff

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop chipset-level power use case modeling tools and methodologies
• Collaborate with power HW, SW, and System teams to define and collect power use case characteristics
• Analyze hardware architecture and design to understand how power use cases map to individual hardware blocks
• Translate power estimate requests into detailed tasks for end-to-end use case power modeling
• Analyze modeling outputs, summarize results, and propose effective improvement solutions
• Enable cross-functional teams to leverage existing tools and methodologies for in-depth power analysis

Requirements

• 13 to 18 years of relevant professional experience
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience with Application Processors or Modem Communication systems design
• Deep knowledge of mobile technology areas including WAN modems, CPUs, cameras, and graphics
• Experience in the commercialization of System-level power features
• Solid foundation in Electrical Engineering with proficiency in detailed data analysis and custom tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline
• Strong Systems/Hardware background with a deep understanding of microprocessors and common SoC hardware blocks (Interconnects, Display, Graphics, etc.)
