ChildWatch Counselor

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of participants at all times through active supervision
• Meet the individual needs of each child in care
• Model the YMCA core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility
• Act as an appropriate, positive role model for children

Requirements

• Must be at least 17 years of age
• Ability to be on feet for entire shift and lift up to 40lbs
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
• Ability to pass background checks, criminal history, and drug screen

Preferred Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED
• 12 months experience working with children
