About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide a safe, fun, gospel-centered environment for children ages infant and up on Sunday mornings
- Teach and sing to children in the classroom
- Lead and take charge of the classroom environment
- Communicate effectively with parents and lead volunteers
- Perform physical tasks including playing on the floor, comforting children, changing diapers, and escorting kids to the restroom
Requirements
- Availability on Sunday mornings from 7:30 AM to 12:15 PM
- Ability to work on Easter and at least one Sunday during the winter holidays
- Ability to work on Lessons and Carols Sunday
- Commitment to serve for at least 1 year
- Attendance at mandatory annual training sessions
- Ability to provide at least 2 weeks' notice for absences
- Must pass a background check
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience working with children (classroom, nanny, or babysitting)
- A heart for God, families, and children
- Warm, engaging, and welcoming personality
- Ability to remain level-headed in stressful environments
- Strong character qualities including integrity, wisdom, and good judgment
