About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop, lead, and grow engaging, Christ-centered outreach programs for children and youth in the St. Albert community
- Plan and organize weekly Bunker Youth Drop-In programs, providing mentorship and a safe space for youth ages 11–17
- Lead children’s outreach programs such as Baby Song and Mini Chiefs, incorporating games, crafts, and faith formation
- Recruit, supervise, and train volunteer leaders, ensuring all compliance and safety training is completed
- Build meaningful relationships with local families, schools, and community partners to increase program participation
- Maintain administrative records, activity logs, and promotional materials for youth programming
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain food safety standards
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in ministry, social work, education, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in youth programming and working with children/youth
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace
- Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver's License with a satisfactory driver's abstract
- Ability to provide a clear Vulnerable Sector background check
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required by program schedules
