Childcare Lead

Responsibilities

• Support the Supervisor in overseeing the daily operations of the Children’s Center
• Lead and participate in group activities including indoor/outdoor play, arts and crafts, and games
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for all children
• Ensure curriculum and daily activities align with department guidelines and industry best practices
• Respond to behavioral or medical incidents and ensure proper documentation
• Monitor staff performance and provide coaching and support to classroom teachers
• Assist with staff training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
• Communicate professionally with parents and guardians regarding child development

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Meet Colorado State Childcare Licensing qualifications for ECE Early Childhood Education teacher
• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in early childhood education preferred
• 2-3 years of experience working with children ages 3 and under in childcare, camp, or educational settings
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Strong understanding of child development for children ages 3 and under
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese
