Childcare Cook

Responsibilities

• Prepare nutritious, well-balanced meals that meet food program requirements
• Oversee the maintenance of a clean, orderly, and sanitary kitchen environment
• Manage monthly inventory for food items and non-food supplies (cups, plates, etc.)
• Disperse groceries and supplies to appropriate areas of the building
• Request necessary kitchen equipment within budget via the Center Director
• Assist in classrooms as needed to relieve teachers for breaks and provide support
• Maintain physical activity including sitting, standing, walking, and climbing stairs to work around small children

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to pass all required background checks
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
• Physical ability to work in an environment with small children

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a childcare setting
