About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare nutritious, well-balanced meals that meet food program requirements
- Oversee the maintenance of a clean, orderly, and sanitary kitchen environment
- Manage monthly inventory for food items and non-food supplies (cups, plates, etc.)
- Disperse groceries and supplies to appropriate areas of the building
- Request necessary kitchen equipment within budget via the Center Director
- Assist in classrooms as needed to relieve teachers for breaks and provide support
- Maintain physical activity including sitting, standing, walking, and climbing stairs to work around small children
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to pass all required background checks
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
- Physical ability to work in an environment with small children
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a childcare setting
