Childcare Cook/Floater

Responsibilities

• Prepare nutritious, well-balanced meals that meet food program requirements
• Oversee the maintenance of a clean, orderly, and sanitary kitchen environment
• Manage monthly inventory for food and non-food items, such as cups and plates
• Disperse groceries, food service, and paper supplies to appropriate areas of the building
• Request necessary kitchen equipment within budget through the Center Director
• Assist in classrooms as needed to relieve teachers for breaks and provide additional support
• Maintain physical activity including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid ServSafe certificate
• Ability to pass all required background checks
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
• Physical ability to work around small children

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a childcare setting
