Responsibilities
- Provide practice-based instructional coaching through observation, modeling, and feedback to support high-quality teaching.
- Support the implementation of evidence-based, developmentally appropriate, and inclusive practices, including Pyramid Model strategies.
- Use data and assessment tools to guide coaching, monitor progress, and promote continuous program improvement.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with state licensing, CACFP, IQ4K, and NAEYC accreditation standards.
- Provide administrative and operational support, including maintaining staff records and supporting program workflows.
- Ensure continuity of care by providing classroom support and assisting with daily program operations.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field and 4 years of experience in early childhood settings (birth–5) OR a Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) and 2 years of experience in early childhood settings (birth–5).
- Strong knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices, social-emotional development, and inclusive teaching strategies.
- Ability and willingness to complete required training in Practice-Based Coaching, Pyramid Model/PBIS, and related assessment tools.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and reflective practice skills.
- Ability to meet all state licensing and employment requirements, including background checks and physical requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education Administration, or a related field.
- Experience mentoring or coaching adult learners or supervising practicum students.
- Experience working in a lab school setting.
- Familiarity with Pyramid Model/PBIS, PITC, Prevent Teach Reinforce, or Project Approach curriculum.
- Experience with CACFP, IQ4K, NAEYC accreditation, or other early childhood quality systems.
