Child Care Advisor

Responsibilities

• Oversee caseload of customers to ensure positive outcomes
• Provide intake services for applicants seeking subsidized child care services
• Determine, verify, and document eligibility for child care services
• Enroll children in child care settings and authorize payments to eligible parents
• Track attendance and service utilization
• Enter client and case eligibility, demographic, and service information into designated systems
• Explain parents' rights, responsibilities, and attendance requirements
• Coordinate recruitment and monitoring of local area relative providers

Requirements

• Three years of directly related progressively responsible work experience or equivalent
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong management and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to learn specialized databases and software systems
• Knowledge of community resources
• Cultural sensitivity
