Child and Family Advocate

Responsibilities

• Oversee the integrity and operation of the Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Program
• Recruit, train, and supervise CASA volunteers
• Provide case management support and accompany volunteers to court
• Serve as an advocate for children undergoing forensic interviews
• Coordinate services with the District Attorney’s office and facilitate court preparation
• Maintain accurate records in the Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) electronic database
• Facilitate monthly multidisciplinary team meetings
• Identify and address barriers to care for residents accessing services
• Maintain and update a database of community resources
• Provide administrative support including front desk coverage one evening per week

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required
• Proficiency in computer use, internet research, and office software
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to pass background check, fingerprinting, and drug screening

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social services field
• Case Management certification
• 3 years of experience in child maltreatment, case management, or as a CASA
• Bilingual proficiency
