Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary treatment teams for child and adolescent patients
• Diagnose psychiatric disorders including mood, anxiety, eating, and co-occurring disorders
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications and provide psychotherapies
• Determine appropriate levels of care and advocate for patients within health care systems
• Complete documentation thoroughly and maintain accurate patient records
• Collaborate with staff, referring providers, families, and patient support persons
• Participate in insurance peer reviews and provide level-of-care documentation
• Serve as clinical supervisor, mentor, and teacher for staff and trainees

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Completed accredited residency and fellowship training
• Board Certified in General Psychiatry and/or Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
• Licensed to practice medicine in Washington state
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Knowledge of regulatory body requirements such as Joint Commission standards
