Chief Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams in providing Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) support to IC/DoD government customers
• Direct requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, and integration across the NSG, ASG, and Federal Agencies
• Advise the Government on proposed changes to solution designs based on requirements analysis and new technology
• Capture and translate mission and customer needs into systems and capability requirements
• Support the analysis and allocation of requirements to systems architecture components
• Lead Analyses of Alternatives (AoAs), Courses of Action (CoAs), Trade Studies, and Engineering Assessments
• Oversee and coordinate the work of Senior, Mid, and Junior-level contractor Systems Engineers
• Assist in the modernization of infrastructure and capabilities

Requirements

• 18+ years of professional experience
• Master’s degree or higher in a STEM field (Systems Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, etc.)
• Active TS/SCI security clearance with the ability to obtain a Polygraph
• Expert-level knowledge of DoD/IC Acquisition Processes and the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) system
• Expert-level experience with the systems engineering lifecycle
• Extensive experience working within the DoD or Intelligence Community (IC)
• Experience with large, complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture/Cloud environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), including relevant processes, tools, and languages
• INCOSE Expert System Engineering Professional (ESEP) certification
• Software Development Framework certification
• Demonstrated experience in the field of geospatial intelligence (GEOINT)
• Experience in the development of Digital Engineering Ecosystems and Digital Twins
• Knowledge of current NSG/ASG and other IC Enterprises
