About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic guidance for consolidated hardware/software technical baselines across facility infrastructure, network enclaves, and DevSecOps pipelines.
- Develop and recommend long-term (3+ year) architecture roadmaps supporting RDT&E, AI/ML enablement, and hybrid cloud adoption.
- Identify architecture-level risks, gaps, and technical debt, leading working groups to conduct trade studies and evaluate enterprise solutions.
- Define and disseminate ConOps, requirements, and project kickoffs to product teams to guide design and implementation.
- Coordinate with cybersecurity leadership to ensure architectural compliance with RMF, NIST 800-53, DISA STIGs, and DoD/USSF policies.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for architecture-related Contract Data Requirement List (CDRL) deliverables and government technical interfaces.
- Provide architectural oversight for configuration management, integration reviews, and technical baseline changes.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI security clearance.
- Master's degree in Engineering or a relevant field (relevant experience may be considered toward degree requirements).
- Sec+ or other IAT Level II certification.
- 15+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, systems engineering, or large-scale IT architecture within DoD or Intelligence Community environments.
- 5+ years of experience integrating software and hardware solutions into operational classified environments.
- Proven experience designing hybrid on-prem/cloud architectures (e.g., AWS GovCloud, IL5/IL6) and containerized environments.
- Deep understanding of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in a DoD environment.
- Experience with RMF, NIST 800-53, and DISA STIGs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Cloud Architect Certification.
- INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional Certification.
- Experience with MBSE toolsets.
