Chief Steward

Responsibilities

• Planning and preparation of all meals
• Purchasing and storage of provisions
• Compliance with hygiene and safety standards
• Adapting menus to the crew's needs and wishes
• Maintenance and cleaning of kitchen facilities
• Supervising 1 to 2 stewards
• Sale of slop goods
• Monthly accounting

Requirements

• Trained chef with experience in the restaurant industry and shipping
• Ability to work independently in a small team
• Valid seafarer's certificate (sønæringsbevis)
• Seafarer's medical certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
• Fluency in Danish and English
