Chief Scientist

Responsibilities

• Lead technical teams in architecting, developing, and deploying open architecture solutions for sensor systems
• Optimize architecture performance for real-time, resource-constrained systems with strict latency requirements
• Architect communication infrastructure and data flows for distributed processing systems
• Support end-to-end open system integration efforts including hardware-in-the-loop testing
• Conduct design reviews and technical risk assessments
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineers
• Interface with customers, program managers, and stakeholders to define technical requirements
• Lead proposal development efforts including technical approach definition and cost estimation

Requirements

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field
• 10-15+ years of relevant work experience depending on degree
• Experience in open architecture development, sensor system integration, or professional software development
• Proficiency in C++ for high-performance real-time applications
• Experience with real-time software for signal processing or sensing applications
• Experience in hardware/software integration or proposal leadership

Preferred Qualifications

• Active Security Clearance at the Secret or Top Secret (TS/SCI preferred) level
• Strong leadership experience with open architecture or software development teams
• Experience with current defense open architectures
• Experience with large scale systems integration and system-of-systems deployment
