Chief Operating Officer

Responsibilities

• Oversee full operations and logistics, including warehousing, freight, inventory, and fulfillment across a national network of 3PL and warehouse partners.
• Manage specialized freight for heavy, oversized, and hazmat cargo such as transformers and lithium-ion batteries.
• Establish company KPIs, operating rhythms, and dashboards to ensure clear accountability and visibility.
• Build and optimize the sales and business development infrastructure, including CRM, forecasting, and pricing discipline.
• Lead the strategy and rollout of the core operational technology stack, including WMS, TMS, ERP, and CRM.
• Develop a scalable compliance function covering DOT hazmat and oversized-load permitting.
• Coach and lead a team of experienced operations leaders and manage offshore support partners.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in operations, supply chain, or general management.
• 8+ years in a senior executive role (COO, VP, SVP, or GM).
• Proven track record of building operating systems, processes, and KPIs from the ground up.
• Logistics or distribution experience specifically with heavy industrial or renewable energy products.
• Hands-on experience leading large-scale WMS, TMS, ERP, and CRM implementation projects.
• Experience managing multi-site or contracted 3PL networks at scale.
• Ability to work in a hands-on capacity within a fast-growing, founder-led, or growth-stage business.

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience in solar, storage, or renewable energy distribution.
• Experience with NetSuite.
• Background in a PE-backed or founder-led company.
• Familiarity with structured operating models such as EOS or Traction.
