Responsibilities

• Serve as Second in Command of the vessel and assist the Master in emergency situations
• Implement Company policies and Safety Management Systems
• Act as Senior DP Operator, Safety Officer, and Medical Representative
• Perform Officer of the watch duties, including Navigation and Bridge watchkeeping
• Maintain vessel stability, trim, and adequate fresh water supplies
• Oversee maintenance of lifesaving and firefighting appliances
• Manage deck machinery, lifting appliances, and cargo security
• Coordinate vessel security arrangements and watchkeeping in port
• Maintain logbooks and deck stores

Requirements

• Chief Mate Unlimited Certificate of Competency
• Dynamic Positioning Operators Certificate (Offshore Unlimited)
• Ship Personnel with Designated Security Duties Certificate
• STCW MED BS, PSC, AFF
• General Operators Certificate (GMDSS)
• Passenger Safety Management Training
• Marine Advanced First Aid and CPR
• Valid Seafarers Medical and Canadian Passport
• Experience in OSV operations including Anchor Handling and Towing
• Knowledge of ISM, ISPS, and Transport Canada legislative requirements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications

• SSO Certificate
• Certificate of Proficiency in Fast Rescue Boats
• Experience on large AHTS vessels
