Chief of Staff, Sales Engineering

Responsibilities

• Drive the SE operating rhythm by designing business reviews and real-time reporting for the VP of SE.
• Optimize the pre-sales funnel and Proof of Concept (POC) lifecycle to accelerate technical wins.
• Lead global headcount and capacity planning, including territory allocation across AMER, EMEA, and APAC.
• Build operational solutions, dashboards, and data models directly within the Sigma platform.
• Act as a cross-functional hub between Sales Engineering, Sales, Product, and RevOps.
• Partner with compensation and systems teams to design SE incentive plans and organizational structures.

Requirements

• 6–8+ years of experience in GTM Strategy, Sales Operations, or Revenue Operations.
• Proven experience supporting technical pre-sales, Sales Engineering, or Solutions Architecture teams.
• High analytical and data fluency with the ability to build complex capacity models and headcount plans.
• Experience working effectively within a matrixed, global environment.
• Deep understanding of technical win mechanics and POC lifecycles.
• Ability to work onsite in San Francisco.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building operational workflows and reporting directly within Sigma or similar BI tools.
• A "builder's mindset" with the ability to create new playbooks rather than just following existing ones.
