Chief Medical Officer

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and operational oversight for all medical services
• Supervise and mentor physicians, advanced practice providers, surgeons, dentists, and clinical staff
• Lead quality assurance, peer review, infection prevention, and patient safety initiatives
• Chair the Medical Executive Committee and oversee clinical committees
• Deliver direct patient care including medical evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment
• Coordinate patient referrals, medical evacuations, and specialty consultations
• Support emergency preparedness and mass casualty response exercises
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and ensure regulatory compliance

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited U.S. medical school or equivalent
• Completion of residency in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine
• Current unrestricted U.S. medical license with active DEA registration
• Current BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications
• Minimum of 5 years post-residency clinical practice experience in the United States
• Direct patient care experience within the last 12 months
• Strong leadership experience overseeing multidisciplinary clinical teams
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems
• Ability to relocate internationally and maintain a valid passport
• Ability to meet physical demands including lifting up to 50 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in military, government, remote site, or international healthcare environments
• Experience supporting emergency medicine, occupational health, or austere clinical operations
• Strong interdisciplinary collaboration and operational leadership experience
