About the role

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all inspection and maintenance activities comply with FAA Part 145 regulations, RSM, and QCM
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of FAA regulations, Airworthiness Directives, and Service Bulletins
  • Develop, implement, and maintain inspection procedures for aircraft components and systems
  • Oversee and perform inspections of components and aircraft systems to verify compliance
  • Manage the Repair Station's quality assurance program, including internal and supplier audits
  • Generate and maintain regulatory documentation including RSM, QCM, and Training Manuals
  • Prepare and submit the Pre-Application Statement of Intent (PASI) for Part 145 certification
  • Review and approve maintenance releases, logbook entries, and work orders
  • Lead, mentor, and train inspectors to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards

Requirements

  • Current FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe (A) and Powerplant (P) ratings held for minimum 5 years
  • Minimum 10 years of hands-on aircraft maintenance experience
  • At least 1 year of experience in a maintenance inspection capacity
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a supervisory or lead capacity
  • In-depth knowledge of FAA regulations, including FAR Part 145
  • Demonstrated experience with auditing, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation
  • Proficiency in authoring technical documentation and maintenance manuals

Preferred Qualifications

  • FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) certificate
  • Prior experience as a Chief Inspector or Quality Manager in an FAA Part 145 Repair Station
  • Part 135 Operational Experience
  • ASQ Certifications (e.g., CQA, CQI)
  • Experience with aviation maintenance management software
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Aviation Maintenance or Aerospace Engineering
