About the role

Responsibilities

  • Establish IT strategy, long-range goals, and policies aligned with the school's mission.
  • Oversee a team of approximately 40 professionals supporting operations in Ann Arbor and Los Angeles.
  • Manage information technology solutions, including application development, support services, and cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Lead organizational change and develop strategies to capitalize on emerging trends like AI and digital education.
  • Manage operating and capital budgets, equipment lifecycles, and vendor relationships.
  • Build partnerships with campus leadership and internal departments to ensure optimal decision-making.
  • Assess and integrate new technologies to support research, instruction, and daily operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, information science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience leading IT innovation in large, complex organizations.
  • Proven experience in strategic planning that translates vision into an operational model.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex organizational change.
  • Extensive experience in supervisory and performance management roles.
  • Ability to use market data and trends to forecast needs and operationalize solutions.
