Chief Financial Officer

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of long-range financial strategy aligned with resource planning and capital investment
• Provide strategic financial guidance to the CEO and Board on power supply decisions and enterprise risk
• Oversee all accounting functions including general ledger, fixed assets, and financial close
• Manage liquidity, cash flow forecasting, and banking relationships
• Lead financing activities including debt issuance, credit facilities, and hedging instruments
• Provide financial leadership for rate design and support regulatory filings
• Oversee annual budgeting process and multi-year financial forecasts
• Direct enterprise financial risk management including fuel price and interest rate risk
• Lead, mentor, and develop finance and accounting staff

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
• 15–20 years of progressive financial leadership experience
• Experience in an electric utility, public power organization, or energy-related entity
• Demonstrated experience with debt financing, rates, and capital-intensive operations
• Proven leadership experience managing teams and presenting to boards
• Deep understanding of utility accounting and rate-making principles

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree (MBA or MS)
• Professional certification (CPA, CMA, or CFA)
