About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as the company voice to equity holders and lenders
- Manage relationships with the Board and VC funds
- Define and execute the exit strategy
- Build and lead a local team of accountants and tax specialists
- Supervise audits under US GAAP
- Ensure compliance for regional expansion
- Manage the credit portfolio funding structure (blended capital)
- Lead relationships with local and international lenders
- Own P&L and balance sheet with a scale perspective
- Prepare financial infrastructure for IPO
- Manage and develop a team of approximately 8-9 people
Requirements
- Minimum 15 years in finance
- Relevant experience in fintech or lending
- Proven experience in lending or BNPL companies
- Experience transitioning from growth stage to scale/pre-IPO
- Track record in debt and/or equity capital raising
- Relationships with institutional investors (VC, PE, international lenders)
- Mastery of the Mexican market (tax regulation, SAT, local accounting, IMSS, PTU)
- Advanced English proficiency
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure or experience in IPO or M&A processes
