Chief Engineer

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other infrastructure
• Manage the building facilities, maintenance upkeep, and residential turnover process
• Lead and mentor a team of facilities service technicians and mid-level managers
• Manage the facilities budget to ensure cost efficiency while preserving quality and the resident experience
• Manage vendor relationships and service agreements for maintenance and facility services
• Conduct regular safety audits and drills to ensure emergency preparedness
• Promote energy-efficient practices and implement sustainability initiatives to improve building efficiency

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
• 8-10 years of experience in facilities management
• At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role
• Valid driver's license
• Expertise in HVAC, Fire Life Safety, Electrical, and Plumbing systems
• Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards
• Proficiency in facilities management software and digital tools (Microsoft and Google suites)

• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
