Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the efficient, safe running and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and ancillary equipment
• Ensure operation of all machinery, Planned Maintenance Systems, and Survey Planning to maintain vessel class
• Maintain vessel Technical and Operational Manuals
• Ensure Engine Room Department compliance with Vessel Pollution and Dangerous Chemicals Regulations
• Record Marpol required items and maintain engine checklists for DP Operation
• Prepare dry dock specifications and work scopes in cooperation with Vessel Manager
• Prepare monthly update reports for review by Vessel Manager and Superintendent
• Implement Company policies and Safety Management System
• Review spare parts stock and make recommendations for changes
• Lead QHSE programs and facilitate effective two-way communication regarding safety issues

Requirements

• Post-Secondary Education in Marine Engineering
• First Class Motor-ship Certificate
• STCW MED, BS, SC, AFF certifications
• Marine First Aid certification
• Valid Canadian Seafarers Medical and Canadian Passport
• Experience on Offshore Support Vessels, including diesel electric and hybrid propulsion systems
• High-level knowledge of ISM, ISPS, Transport Canada, and MARPOL
• DP Maintenance Training
• Demonstrable experience in a management or lead position within the offshore industry
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge with Diesel Electric Engines
• Experience aboard large AHTS
