Chief Engineer

Responsibilities

• Oversee building maintenance systems to ensure the safety and efficiency of client properties
• Manage and prioritize work orders for Building Engineers to ensure minimal downtime
• Maintain and check daily operating logs for HVAC, fan units, utility meters, and general complaints
• Assist in the development of annual budgets and the RFP process for budgeted projects
• Coordinate and supervise contractors and vendors, evaluating the quality of completed work
• Implement preventative maintenance programs and conduct regular inspections and alarm testing
• Maintain strong relationships with property managers, suppliers, and department leaders

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in building/property maintenance or engineering
• Solid working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and energy management systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Knowledge of NFPA 70E, OSHA 10, and LEED standards
• Valid driver's license
• Availability for on-call emergency response, including after-hours and weekends
