Chief Engineer

Responsibilities

• Act as the onsite first-line Supervisor to O&M staff
• Manage building systems including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing
• Supervise technicians
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks to reduce downtime and prevent breakdowns
• Maintain onsite presence in a full-time capacity and remain on-call for emergencies

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Experience supervising and directing building operations and maintenance for a singular federal facility of at least 500,000 square feet
• Possession of one or more of the following: NATE HVAC Service Technician Certification, HVAC Excellence Professional Level Certification, or UA Star HVAC Mastery Certification
• Ability to maintain a minimum of 16 hours of continuing education per year from recognized providers
