Chief Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage all building systems including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing
• Supervise technicians on-site
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks to reduce downtime and prevent breakdowns
• Respond to emergencies on an on-call basis

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in building mechanical maintenance management and technician supervision for facilities of at least 1 million square feet
• Valid stationary engineer’s license (equivalent to Class 3 Steam Engineer DC or First Grade Engineer MD)
• Competency in HVAC, plumbing, and/or electrical disciplines
• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• Proficiency with CMMS and project tracking software
• Availability for 24/7 emergency contact and flexible hours as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Industry certification from IFMA (CFM, FMP, or SFP)
• BOMI or AFE certifications
