Chief Engineer - Battle Management

Responsibilities

• Define and champion the technical vision for Battle Management systems and software architecture
• Lead Agile, multi-disciplinary teams of 5-50+ engineers across aerospace, software, and cloud domains
• Lead technical strategy for intuitive software applications and effective user experiences (UX)
• Manage program execution, including schedule, budget, and successful delivery
• Act as a primary technical liaison with government customers and industry partners
• Identify and shape new opportunities and lead technical proposal efforts for the capture process

Requirements

• US Citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a Security Clearance
• Master's degree or PhD in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or equivalent
• 10+ years of experience leading technical teams in defense or aerospace
• Experience designing architectures for real-time distributed systems (C2, mission planning, or situational awareness)
• Domain knowledge in sensor fusion, mission planning, electronic warfare, or air/space operations
• Understanding of physical principles like kinematics, sensor physics, or RF propagation
• Leadership in modern software development (service-oriented, event-driven, real-time visualization)
• Experience in business development and program capture within DoD or IC
