Chief Engineer - Battery Systems

Responsibilities

• Lead battery product development from RFI/RFQ through six months post-production
• Act as the primary interface between customers and internal functional teams regarding product design, production, and quality
• Highlight product competitive advantages and build strong customer relationships
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction and project success
• Support sales teams with commercial contract negotiations, RFIs, and RFQs
• Manage project timing, quality, cost, and delivery objectives
• Analyze customer integration regarding quality indicators, reliability, and service levels

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above
• Minimum 5 years of electrification work experience
• Experience working at an EV Component Supplier or OEM
• Familiarity with battery manufacturing processes
• Knowledge of high voltage batteries, new energy vehicles, and energy storage systems
• Proficiency in APQP, PPAP, and ISO/TS 16949
• Strong project management, marketing, and competition analysis skills
• Experience in offer and contract management
• Proven team leadership abilities
• Ability for frequent travel to customer sites as required
