About the role
Responsibilities
- Own the effectiveness of aerodynamic simulation and modeling in delivering track performance
- Increase the hit rate of aerodynamic developments reaching the car
- Define and evolve the simulation strategy across CFD, wind tunnel, and track domains
- Improve confidence in development decisions through better correlation, metrics, and data usage
- Align CFD, wind tunnel, and track data into a coherent development system
- Partner across Aerodynamics, Vehicle Performance, Data Science, and Trackside Engineering
- Communicate clear insights, risks, and opportunities to senior stakeholders
Requirements
- Deep understanding of race car aerodynamics and flow characteristics
- Strong understanding of Formula 1® Technical Regulations
- Experience leading and managing aerodynamic development
- Expertise in CFD, Wind Tunnel, and Track aerodynamic testing methodologies
- Proficiency with CFD and 3D CAD software (preferably 3DExperience/CATIA)
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to line manage teams effectively
