Chief Engineer - Aerodynamics (Modeling & Simulation)

Responsibilities

• Own the effectiveness of aerodynamic simulation and modeling in delivering track performance
• Increase the hit rate of aerodynamic developments reaching the car
• Define and evolve the simulation strategy across CFD, wind tunnel, and track domains
• Improve confidence in development decisions through better correlation, metrics, and data usage
• Align CFD, wind tunnel, and track data into a coherent development system
• Partner across Aerodynamics, Vehicle Performance, Data Science, and Trackside Engineering
• Communicate clear insights, risks, and opportunities to senior stakeholders

Requirements

• Deep understanding of race car aerodynamics and flow characteristics
• Strong understanding of Formula 1® Technical Regulations
• Experience leading and managing aerodynamic development
• Expertise in CFD, Wind Tunnel, and Track aerodynamic testing methodologies
• Proficiency with CFD and 3D CAD software (preferably 3DExperience/CATIA)
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Ability to line manage teams effectively
