About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and lead training programs for FAA and global CAA licensed dispatchers
- Provide direct instruction and act as a backup instructor for all training classes
- Manage and update Jeppesen Policies and Procedures Manuals and other SOPs
- Supervise, mentor, and qualify new training instructors
- Design and develop new training products, courseware, and student materials
- Manage training schedules, certification records, and customer registration/billing
- Coordinate with management on sales growth, marketing, and budget goals
- Travel to key customers, tradeshows, and strategic locations (up to 40%)
- Serve as a liaison with governmental oversight and accreditation bodies
Requirements
- 3-4 years of experience as a dispatcher, preferably in an Airline 121 environment
- Valid FAA Aircraft Dispatcher certificate (Part 65)
- Expertise in ATP/Dispatcher fundamentals and advanced subjects (ETOPS, meteorology, etc.)
- Proficiency with digital flight planning tools such as Jeppesen and ForeFlight Dispatch
- Experience in instructional design and utilizing modern teaching principles
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Willingness to travel up to 40%
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise teaching 14 CFR Part 121 or Part 65 certification courses
- Experience seeking regulatory approvals from FAA or global CAAs
- Experience with SEVP/SEVIS or VA school official processes
- Background as a pilot or aviation enthusiast
