Chief Compliance Officer

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive compliance program covering RIA, B/D, and 40 Act registered fund obligations
• Monitor SEC, FINRA, NFA, and CFTC rulemaking and translate developments into actionable policy updates
• Assess compliance risk for all new products, funds, vehicles, and business lines prior to launch
• Oversee marketing compliance and vendor due diligence programs
• Serve as primary point of contact for the SEC, FINRA, and NFA, managing examination logistics and communications
• Build and sustain a firm-wide culture of compliance through training and practical guidance
• Partner with Legal, Finance, Product, and Distribution to identify compliance requirements for new initiatives
• Hire, manage, and develop a growing compliance team

Requirements

• 15+ years of compliance experience in financial services
• Senior compliance leadership experience with direct management responsibility
• Expertise in B/D, RIA, and 40 Act compliance programs
• Hands-on knowledge of Investment Advisers Act, Investment Company Act, Securities Act, and Securities Exchange Act
• Proven track record leading regulatory examinations with SEC, FINRA, or NFA
• Experience managing a compliance team of 5 or more professionals
• FINRA Series 7 and Series 24 licenses required
• J.D. or advanced degree in a relevant discipline

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with digital assets, cryptocurrency, and blockchain technology
• Experience with ETFs, statutory trusts, or other registered products in emerging asset classes
• Background in high-growth or scaling firms
