Responsibilities

• Develop a compliance framework that allows the company to build and scale innovative financial products within legal and regulatory guidelines.
• Advise leadership on how compliance can be a differentiator in the Earned Wage Access market.
• Track regulatory developments and proactively adapt compliance programs.
• Engage with regulators, industry groups, and policymakers to help shape the future of EWA regulations.
• Work with product, engineering, and design teams to ensure compliance is embedded into the product design process early.
• Guide the management team on compliance strategy and integrate regulatory considerations into business decisions.
• Deliver clear, data-driven compliance reports to the Board of Directors.
• Develop a compliance-first culture across the organization.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in compliance, legal, or risk management within fintech or financial services.
• Proven track record of building or scaling compliance programs in fast-paced, product-driven environments.
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. consumer financial regulations (cash advances, lending, credit, payments).
• Experience designing and implementing AML/KYC programs, including BSA, OFAC, and FinCEN guidance.
• Experience engaging with state and federal regulatory bodies and auditors.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and legal teams.
• Bachelor's degree required; JD, CRCM, or other relevant certifications are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• CAMS certification or equivalent AML credential.
• Familiarity with tooling for transaction monitoring and case management.
