Chief Client Architect

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary executive technical advisor to customer CIOs, CTOs, and senior business stakeholders
• Own long-term customer architecture and automation strategy aligned to business priorities
• Shape and guide customers’ AI and agentic automation journeys using Workato’s ecosystem
• Advise on the design and adoption of agent-based workflows and human-in-the-loop models
• Drive software expansion, adoption depth, and renewal confidence through strategic advisory
• Lead high-impact professional services engagements and define enterprise automation target states
• Define and enforce architecture principles, standards, and guardrails across customer implementations
• Contribute to the evolution of Workato’s architecture frameworks, AI patterns, and best practices

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• 20+ years of technology transformation consulting experience (integration, middleware, or API management)
• 15+ years in an Enterprise Architect, Digital Architect, or similar senior role
• Demonstrated experience advising C-level executives on technology strategy
• Strong understanding of enterprise security, governance, and operating models
• Proven track record of driving platform expansion and value realization
• Excellent executive communication and board-level presentation skills
• Ability to travel to client sites up to 50%

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Business
• Knowledge of key applications such as Salesforce, Netsuite, Workday, ServiceNow, SAP, or EBusiness Suite
• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Experience working in a start-up environment
