About the role
Responsibilities
- Undertake highly specialised Cardiac Investigations in Echocardiography or Cardiac Rhythm Management
- Interpret results and provide factual reports affecting patient outcomes
- Lead and participate in clinical audit, research, and development activities
- Provide education to the multidisciplinary team and contribute to staff development
- Manage teams of Cardiac Physiologists and Assistant Technical Officers
- Perform pacemaker checks, troubleshooting, and device implantation expertise
- Conduct haemodynamic monitoring during Cardiac Catheters and PCI
- Perform 2D Echocardiograms and advanced procedures like Stress Echo and 3D Echo
- Lead exercise testing and expert ECG interpretation
Requirements
- BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent
- BSE or BHRS/IBHRE accreditation (or working towards it)
- MSc or equivalent experience
- Professional registration (or working towards it)
- Solid experience in Cardiac Rhythm Management or echocardiography at Band 6 level
- Proven record of clinical expertise and leadership exposure
- Excellent communication, organisational, and IT skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Evidence of continuous professional development (CPD)
- Leadership development training
