Chief Battery Engineer/Team Lead

Responsibilities

• Drive expertise in battery packaging, thermal management, and charging systems
• Leverage off-the-shelf cells while innovating in BMS integration and sensitivity analyses
• Ensure compatibility with actuators and compute systems
• Build in-house capability to reduce vendor dependencies and accelerate prototyping
• Lead the battery team to achieve breakthroughs across all Foundation programs
• Perform FEA for thermal trade-offs and strategic roadmapping for multi-program scalability

Requirements

• Hands-on technical leadership in battery systems for robotics, EVs, or aerospace
• Deep expertise in pack design, thermal solutions, charging optimization, and BMS
• Proficiency in COMSOL for simulations and CAD for assemblies
• Experience with hands-on testing and cross-functional integrations
• Proven ability to work in lean, resourceful, and agile startup environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of robotics contexts, such as compatibility with actuator interconnects
• Experience supplying batteries to multiple projects simultaneously
